Coral Dress

5 / 1 / 17

Dress: Kohls (similar, similar) | Shoes: DSW

Hi, everyone. I hope you all are having a good week. I wanted to share this gorgeous coral dress with you today. I’m in love with this dress. The flowers on the sleeve are to die for and I think it adds a beautiful elegance to the dress. Because of how it fits and is tailored, I think you could wear this to a more formal event like a wedding, but because the dress is made of cotton I feel like you can wear it to a more casual event as well. I think this coral dress is the perfect summer dress, it’s very light weight and the color is gorgeous. Dresses are a go-to in the summertime for me. I hate being hot and who has the time to spend hours trying to pick out an outfit? You can just throw them on and go while still looking cute.

I like to keep accessories to a minimum, especially during the warmer months. Because this coral dress has embellishments and is a bit brighter than a neutral, I don’t find I need to add a bunch of things to it. However, I am a sparkly girl, so I like to add at least a little sparkle to every outfit. With this I just added a small sparkly pedant necklace and these adorable shoes.

I hope you all enjoyed this post. Check out my last blog post if you haven’t already. Follow me on my social media, they’re linked in the sidebar and down below. I can’t believe it’s already May and summer is right around the corner! I’m looking forward to getting a bit more sun and swimming a ton. Enjoy your week!

April Favorites 2017

4 / 30 / 17

Hi, everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely day.  As it’s the last day of April, I thought I would share my April favorites. I discovered a few new products this month as well as rediscovering old ones.

Sunglasses – I recently picked up a new pair of sunglasses after my old favorite broke. I’m in love with the cat eye frames. These are from Jones New York.

Daisy by Marc Jacobs – I received this perfume as a present a few years ago. I love going back to it when it gets warmer out. If you couldn’t tell by the name it’s a lovely floral scent with notes of strawberry, violet leaves, jasmine, and white woods.

Benefit’s Waat’s Up – I don’t always wear highlighter but when I do it’s usually this one. I love the shimmery golden color. Because it’s a cream highlighter I find it gives more of a dewy look.

Rose Salve – I picked this up at Bath and Body Works a few weeks ago. I had heard about rose salves before, they’re advertised as a balm that you can put on any dry patch of skin to help moisturize it. I like using it on my lips the most.

Urban Decay Naked Basics – I think I’ve mentioned this in favorite posts before. As it says in the name it’s the perfect basic eye shadow colors for everyday use. You can go from a natural look to more of a dramatic look with just 6 shadows.

Maybelline Line Stiletto – I’ve been using liquid liner lately and loving it. I like to put just a thin flick on my upper lash line. The thin tip is perfect for keeping control. It holds up throughout the day and doesn’t smudge or move.

Anastasia Brow Duo – I had never been much for making a fuss over my brows. Lately though, I’ve filled them in and it’s made all the difference. I’m sure if you’ve been in the beauty community for a while you will have heard of this product, it really does live up to all the hype though. I have the color blonde.

Arrow Endure Mascara – I received this in a Birchbox a few months ago and have tried it out. I have fairly oily eyelids so many mascaras transfer onto to my upper eye throughout the day, even if they’re marketed as water proof. This mascara doesn’t transfer at all. If you’re looking for a good water proof mascara that’s actually water proof I highly recommend this one. It stays all day and looks just as good in the evening as when you put it on in the morning.

Essie Gel Nail Polish – If you’ve read my blog for a while you will know that Essie is my favorite nail polish brand. Well, I’ve recently discovered  their gel line and I don’t think I’m ever going back. It’s super smooth and doesn’t chip for days. It lasts longer than normal polish would.

Sign of the Times – Last but not least I have a song favorite. Harry Styles released his first solo single this month and it has been on repeat ever since. I’m a huge One Direction fan and have missed their music since they went on hiatus. This was like a breath of fresh air to be able to hear new music from one of them. If you haven’t heard it you need to! It’s a bit of a rock ballad and his voice is just beautiful.

I hope you all enjoyed my April favorites. Check out my last blog post! Follow me on my social media they’re linked in the sidebar and down below.

Grey and White Shift Dress

4 / 26 / 174 / 26 / 17

Dress: TOBI | Necklace: Charming Charlie (similar)| Shoes: Target | Bandeau: Aerie (similar)

Hi, everyone! I’m in love with this grey and white shift dress. The delicate pattern is so pretty. This is the perfect dress for the spring and summer. It’s very light and airy. I love dresses in the warmer months. They’re so easy to just throw on and go, plus they’re super comfortable. I’ve been obsessed with anything a little different lately and open backs is one of them.

Some dresses with a back like this I will wear a bandeau and some dresses I wear without. It all depends on how the front is cut for me. For this dress I decided to wear a bandeau. This one is from Aerie. It’s my go to bandeau for clothes like this. If you have read my blog lately you will know that long necklaces are a current love of mine. I love the maṇḍala type pattern on this one. It pairs quite nicely with the delicate pattern in the dress. You’ve probably seen my sandals before. They’re one of my favorites. The pewter color goes with so much.

If you missed my last blog post I will have it linked here. Follow me on my social medias, they’re linked in the sidebar and down below. Thank you so much for 10k on Instagram! It was quite exciting to see happen. If you like this grey and white shift dress you can check out TOBI.com for more cute clothes. Floral Scarf

4 / 25 / 17

Top: Local Boutique (similar) | Skirt: Forever 21 | Scarf: Local Boutique (similar , similar) | Shoes: Payless

Hi, everyone! I hope you all are having a great week so far. I love this floral scarf! It’s super colorful and very springtime. I love all the colors going on in the floral. This is a fairly large scarf but the fabric is very light which is perfect for spring. One of the reasons I love scarves so much is that it instantly adds color and pattern to any outfit. When I wear I scarf I normally like to keep the rest of my outfit pretty simple.

Aside from the floral scarf, the rest of this outfit is made up of what I would call my basics. I love this quarter length sleeve t-shirt! You don’t see many t-shirts like this very often but I would definitely consider it one of my basics. I use it all the time, especially on spring days when it’s a little too chilly for a normal t-shirt but too warm for long sleeves. A black circle skirt is a wardrobe essential for me. They go with everything! If you don’t already own one, you need to pick one up. Finally, I have my nude ballet flats. I believe everyone should own at least one pair of ballet flats, and nude is just a color that always goes.

I hope you enjoyed this post. If you missed my last blog post I will have it linked here. Follow me on my social medias. I’m really close to hitting 10k on Instagram, so if you would like to help me reach that goal you can follow me there. Tie Dye Romper

4 / 23 / 17

Romper: TOBI | Necklace: Lucie’s Locket | Shoes: Montego Bay Club, old (similar)

Hi, everyone! I’m in love with this tie dye romper! Rompers are a huge part of my spring/summer wardrobe. Like dresses, they’re very easy to just throw on and go but with the added benefit of being shorts. If you’re new to my blog I’m going to tell you one thing about myself that is a bit of a reoccurring trend with me. I’m a huge fan of neutrals (I mean who isn’t?). There’s something very classy about black and white, especially. I’m in love with this tie dye. I’m not a huge fan of prints, I own a few but I don’t think I can pull many off. I think almost anyone can pull off tie dye if it’s done right.

I recently went shopping for new sunglasses as my last pair broke. I found these and instantly fell in love. They go perfectly with this outfit. I’ve loved long necklaces with outfits lately. The gold and black details on this one are just gorgeous. Sling sandals are my favorite for the warmer months and ones with embellishments are even better.

I hope you all enjoyed this post. If you liked this tie dye romper and would like to see more you can check out TOBI.com. Also, I did another post featuring some TOBI clothing so if you like their clothing and want to see how I style them you can check it out here!  If you missed my last blog post I will have it linked here. My Favorite Spring Essie Nail Polishes

4 / 22 / 17

Hi, everyone! I wanted to share my favorite spring Essie nail polishes with you. I love changing my nail color up to go along with the seasons. It’s quite cliché but pastels in the springtime are just the best. If you have followed my blog for a while, you will know that Essie is my favorite nail polish brand. I don’t think it can get better with all the amazing colors and the formula.

“Lilacism” – Obviously from the name this is a gorgeous lilac color. It’s not an in-your-face purple tone. I think it’s the most neutral a purple can get. This is the most ‘springtime’ color for me.

“Mint Candy Apple” – I love this color! It’s one of my favorite Essie polishes that I own. This minty color is so pretty. I wear this color all year around but I especially favor it in the spring/summer months.

“Bikini So Teeny” – I would say this is the brightest color out of my favorite spring Essie nail polishes. It’s the perfect transition shade from spring to summer. The baby blue is just perfect and has tiny flecks of shimmer in it.

“Fiji” – This is one of my perfect pink shades. Light pink is my favorite color. I wear this polish all year around. It’s a little more vibrant than a baby pink. Great for spring!

“Adore-A-Ball” – This is a very light pink almost cream shade. I love these almost skin tone shades. They’re gorgeous. It’s perfect when you want polish on your nails but you want to keep it neutral. It’s a nice change of pace between all of those colorful polishes.

I hope you all enjoyed my favorite spring Essie nail polishes. Check out my last blog post, if you haven’t yet. Follow me on my social medias, I love connecting with you all! Have a great week!

Gray Cold Shoulder Dress

4 / 20 / 174 / 20 / 17

Dress: TOBI | Shoes: Target | Necklace: Charming Charlie (similar, similar)

Hi, everyone! Spring has finally sprung here, and I think it’s here to stay. This is the perfect weather for outfits like this cute gray cold shoulder dress. I love the look of the cutouts on the shoulders. It’s the perfect addition to my spring wardrobe. Shift dresses are some of my favorites for the spring/summer months. They’re very breezy and keep you cool on warm days.

A few weeks ago it was snowing and by the weekend it was 70 degrees. I’ve been quite bummed about still having to wear a heavy jacket in April, but the sun has come out and I’ve been able to trade those jacket for spring dresses. This is the first cold shoulder dress that I have owned and I am in love with it.

I believe this is the first Easter in a long time that I’ve actually been able to wear sandals. These gold ones are one of my favorites! I love the color of them. They go with so much. I love pairing a solid color dress with longer necklaces. This rose gold tassel necklace is one of my favorites. I love the color of the necklace against the gray of the dress.

I hope you all enjoyed this post. If you like this gray cold shoulder dress you can pick it up at Tobi.com. I’m in love with these gorgeous flowers blooming lately. They put me in a happy mood. I’ve posted a few pictures of my spring adventures on my Instagram if you would like to check it out. If you want more from me you can follow me on my social medias. Zoella Beauty

3 / 29 / 173 / 28 / 17

Hi everyone! I hope your week has treated you well. I recently received some products from Zoella Beauty and I wanted to share them with all of you. When I was younger I discovered the beauty/fashion/lifestyle world on YouTube. A big part of the reason I started my blog was from watching and reading these people’s content. One of the people I started watching early on was Zoe. I’ve been a fan for some time, so I was thrilled when I was contacted to try some of her products out. Zoella Beauty has recently launched in the US! You can now buy the products at Target.

Everything I received has a very fresh smell. I’ve been very impressed with it all. One of my favorite products is the ‘ Pretty Polished’ sugar scrub. This scrub is very gentle on the skin while leaving it smooth and soft. I’ve tried scrubs in the past that are very abrasive on the skin. I feel like this scrub accomplishes the same thing as an abrasive one without feeling like you just removed a complete layer of skin.

Something that intrigued me when looking through the products was the ‘Soak Opera’ bath and shower gel. You can pour this in your bath water for a creamy bath with bubbles or use it as a shower gel and put it directly on your skin. I like using it both ways. The soak has vitamin e, shea butter, and aloe extracts to make your skin extra soft.

I’m a bit of a sucker when it comes to lotions. I like to changed mine up quite often. However, something that is a requirement with my lotions is that they moisturize. The “Creamy, Madly, Dreamy’ lotion passes the test for me. It leaves my skin super soft and smelling lovely. I think this would be the perfect lotion for the warmer upcoming months. It’s lightweight while still moisturizing.

Last but not least we have ‘Soap Pop’ which is a fragranced soap on a stick. How cute is this packaging and concept? I haven’t used bar soap in forever, but I had to change that with this cute little thing. This also has vitamin e, shea butter, and aloe to keep your skin soft and clean.

I hope you all enjoyed this post. If you missed my last blog post I will have it linked here.

VIIcode Eye Masks

3 / 27 / 17

Hi everyone. I hope you all are having a lovely week. For today’s post I’m talking about these VIIcode eye masks.  VIIcode eye mask is an 8-hour overnight treatment, which is different from other sheet masks. You put this eye mask on before you go to bed and wake up with the results. The VIIcode eye masks help combat dark circles and fine lines.

I find the eye masks to be cooling, the gel-like material is very soothing on the eyes. I am lucky enough to not have very dark under eye circles, however I could see a difference in the little I do have. My under eyes also feel very hydrated. I think these are great for when you don’t have time during your day to put on a sheet mask and wait for the allotted amount of time. With these, all you do is put them on before bed and are left with the results in the morning. If you do have a bit of time on your hands though, I think these are great to wear around the house for a few hours. You still benefit from them and they’re just so relaxing.

The VIIcode eye mask can be applied two or three times a week and three boxes a course treatment. These masks have essential vitamins, antioxidants, proteins, and fatty acids that your under eye skin needs to keep healthy. Each box comes with 6 packets. If you haven’t yet, I definitely recommend trying these out. You can buy them here.

I hope you all enjoyed this post. If you missed my last post I will have it linked here. Follow me on my social media. They are linked in the side bar or down below. I know I’ve been MIA lately, life has been super crazy lately. But I’m back and ready to resume normal schedule. Have a great week!

Neutral Plaid Blanket Scarf – Zaful

2 / 16 / 17

Hi, everyone! I hope you are having a good week and are keeping warm. We just got a fresh snow last night so this neutral plaid blanket scarf from Zaful is perfect for the weather. I love blanket scarves they keep you super warm and bundled while still looking cute. I received a few for Christmas this year and have definitely been putting them into good use.

These looks are some of my favorites for the winter months. They are super simple to put together and take very little thought. Yet, you always look put together with them. I paired this neutral plaid blanket scarf with some cute skinny jeans and a simple long sleeve black tee. T-shirts are great layering pieces. I have a full drawer dedicated to t-shirts in various lengths and styles. They’re so easy to throw on and go.

I hope you enjoyed this post and found inspiration to recreate your own neutral plaid blanket scarf look. The weather has been super crazy here lately. It snows one day and then the next it’s 50 degrees. It makes for choosing an outfit to be a bit more difficult. Next week it’s supposed to be in the 60’s. If you would like me to do a post on how to style the crazy weather changes in a day, leave it in a comment down below. If you missed my last blog post I will have it linked here. Follow me on my social medias they’re linked in the sidebar and down below for mobile users. Enjoy the rest of your week!
