Striped Peplum

7 / 31 / 17

Shirt: Zaful  (similar)| Shorts: Kohl’s | Shoes: DSW (similar) | Necklace: Charming Charlie (similar)

Hi everyone, I hope you are all having a lovely start to your week! Today I want to share with you this adorable striped peplum top. I love this look for summer! The light colors go great with a bit of a tan. I wore this outfit on vacation last year and I loved it. This is the perfect summer outfit.

It took me a very long time to hop on the peplum trend, but once I did I loved it. This striped peplum top is just adorable. The navy blue pinstripes are so cute. I added a pair of white shorts to go with this cut striped peplum top. I love the really light and bright look.

I added a long gold medallion necklace. It goes perfectly with this outfit. I think it adds just enough sparkle without taking away from the striped peplum top. My shoes are a combo of silver and a tan/gold. I love that they go with just about everything because of the two colors. They add a nice sparkle to any outfit.

I love braids. They’re one of my favorite things to do with my hair. This side braid is my go to braid when I don’t want to fuss with my hair for too long. I can do it in 5 minutes and it looks great.

I hope you all enjoyed this post with my striped peplum top. I think this is the perfect summer outfit but I definitely think this top will transition into the autumn. Summer Must-Haves

7 / 11 / 17
Summer Must-Haves

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely start to your week. Today I wanted to share with you my summer must-haves. These are my go to products that I couldn’t go without in the summer.
1. Floppy Hat – I think floppy hats are perfect for summer. They keep the sun out of your eyes while also protecting your face from getting burnt. They’re also just really cute. If you would like to see how I’ve styled hats in the past I will have them linked here and here.
2. Sunglasses– If you don’t feel like wearing a hat but want to keep the sun out of your eyes sunglasses are the perfect summer must-have. I love a cute pair of sunnies! I think the instantly dress up any outfit and make you super chic. These black cat eye sunglasses are one of my current favorites.
3. Sandals – I live in sandals in the summer. Nothing else adorns my feet other than a pair of sandals all summer long. I’ve wanted to pick up a new pair lately and I think these are going to it. I love the gladiator look and all the straps.  The colors are perfect, too!

4. Basic Cropped Tee – I am in love with just a basic plain white cropped tee. I think there is so much you can do with it. You can dress it up with a pair of high-waisted pants, a gorgeous statement necklace, and a pair of heels or you can dress it down with some high-waisted short, a pair of little tennis shoes and your hair in a messy bun. I’ve linked a couple different options because I couldn’t decide on just one, I’ll have the other one linked here.

5. High-Waisted Denim Shorts are another summer must-have for me. I own about 10 pairs of them and I wear them all the time. These distressed ones are so cute! I think they would go great with the basic white tee that I mentioned above.
6. Dr. Jart BB Cream – This stuff is the best! I have searched far and wide for a BB cream that has good coverage but was still light-weight and had a good SPF. This one has it all. It’s perfect if you’re going on vacation with an SPF of 45 it will protect you for longer than most other foundations. It lasts all day, also.
7. Tinted Lip Balm – I can never remember to put lip products on or if I do I always forget to touch it up. So most days I don’t even bother with them. However on the days when I do want something I will go for a tinted lip balm, especially in the summer. It hydrates while giving you a bit of a color. I think they look so gorgeous on the lips with just the subtlest amount of color.
8. Dresses – I love dresses. I’ve said this before but they’re so easy just to throw on and go without having to think about anything. It gets pretty hot in the summer where I live, so a dress that is nice and airy is a must for me. This off-the-shoulder one is adorable!
I hope you all have a lovely week. If you missed my last post I will have it linked here. Follow me on my social medias. They’re linked in the side bar and down below.

Off The Shoulder Bow Tie Top

7 / 5 / 177 / 5 / 17

Top: SheIn | Jeans: Hollister | Shoes: Target | Necklace: Charming Charlie (similar)

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely week. How cute is this off the shoulder bow tie top from SheIn? It’s the perfect top for summer with the off the shoulder and loose fit. I love the olive-green color. I don’t own many pieces that are off the shoulder but I’m loving the style. The bow tie details on the side of the sleeves are so cute.

Ripped jeans are one of my favorite pieces of clothing to wear. It gives a bit of an edgy look to things, plus they’re a bit cooler to wear in the hot summer months. My sandals are from Target, they’re some of my favorites. I want to pick some more up in different colors. I love tassel necklaces, I’m not sure what it is about them but they’re so cute! This one has an off white bauble with gold details.

I hope you enjoyed this post with my off the shoulder bow tie top. If you missed my last blog post I will have it linked here. Follow me on my social medias so you never miss a thing! White Scallop Cutout Skirt

7 / 3 / 17

Top: Charlotte Russe (similar) | Skirt: SheIn | Necklace: Dogeared | Shoes: Payless (similar)

Hi, everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely start to your week! I love with this white scallop cutout skirt, it’s a gorgeous twist from your typical white skirt. This is the perfect look for the 4th of July! I love dressing a bit patriotic for Independence Day without flashing the stars and stripes.

Crop tops and skirts are just perfect for summer. I think it’s the perfect combo. My top I bought a few years back and I’m still in love with it. It’s the perfect shirt for the 4th in my opinion. My skirt is from SheIn, like I said earlier I love the cutouts and how different it is. I’ll be where it lots this summer.

I got this necklace for Christmas. I’m in love with it. I love the delicate chain and single pearl. It is very dainty. My shoes I’ve had forever they’ve definitely worn their wear but are still going strong. Slingback sandals are some of my favorites for summer and the silver color is perfect.

I hope you have a lovely holiday! I’m going with my family tonight to see fireworks and swimming tomorrow for the first time this summer and I couldn’t be more excited! I’ll be sharing all the fun on my social medias so make sure you are following me there. They’re linked in the sidebar and down below. If you missed my last blog post I will have it linked here. I hope you all enjoyed the white scallop cutout skirt and got some inspiration from this look.

Hazlmay Handbag

5 / 11 / 17

Hi everyone! Today I wanted to talk about this Hazlmay Handbag.  Hazlmay is a new faux leather handbag company. They have a variety of gorgeous quality handbags.  I chose the Anna Satchel in the color Nude. Hazlmay was so kind to give me a discount for all of my readers to use. You can use the discount code: ALITTLECATTLEYA at checkout for 20% off your purchase.

I’m a huge fan of crossbody bags you can throw them over your shoulder and go while being hands free. My favorite crossbody bags are the ones that come with detachable straps like this Hazlmay one. Today I decided to just carry it because I love the look of  the handbag on its own, but I have the option to clip in the shoulder strap on if I wanted to.

You can’t go wrong with a nude, it goes with everything. I love the little details on this handbag. From the gorgeous zipper going up the front and along the top to the clips on the side. I love the way the hardware looks.

Handbags that have enough storage and pockets on the inside are a must for me. There’s tons of room on the inside for whatever you need to put in there. There’s 2 pockets where you can put your cell phone and a zipper pocket, I like to keep my makeup in that one.

I hope you all liked this Hazlmay handbag. If you would like to check out more from hazlmay you can click here. Don’t forget to use the discount code  ALITTLECATTLEYA at checkout to get 20% off your purchase. Good from May 11th to June 11th. If you missed my last post I will have it linked here. Follow me on my social media, they’re linked in the sidebar and down below.

Coral Dress

5 / 1 / 17

Dress: Kohls (similar, similar) | Shoes: DSW

Hi, everyone. I hope you all are having a good week. I wanted to share this gorgeous coral dress with you today. I’m in love with this dress. The flowers on the sleeve are to die for and I think it adds a beautiful elegance to the dress. Because of how it fits and is tailored, I think you could wear this to a more formal event like a wedding, but because the dress is made of cotton I feel like you can wear it to a more casual event as well. I think this coral dress is the perfect summer dress, it’s very light weight and the color is gorgeous. Dresses are a go-to in the summertime for me. I hate being hot and who has the time to spend hours trying to pick out an outfit? You can just throw them on and go while still looking cute.

I like to keep accessories to a minimum, especially during the warmer months. Because this coral dress has embellishments and is a bit brighter than a neutral, I don’t find I need to add a bunch of things to it. However, I am a sparkly girl, so I like to add at least a little sparkle to every outfit. With this I just added a small sparkly pedant necklace and these adorable shoes.

I hope you all enjoyed this post. Check out my last blog post if you haven’t already. Follow me on my social media, they’re linked in the sidebar and down below. I can’t believe it’s already May and summer is right around the corner! I’m looking forward to getting a bit more sun and swimming a ton. Enjoy your week!

April Favorites 2017

4 / 30 / 17

Hi, everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely day.  As it’s the last day of April, I thought I would share my April favorites. I discovered a few new products this month as well as rediscovering old ones.

Sunglasses – I recently picked up a new pair of sunglasses after my old favorite broke. I’m in love with the cat eye frames. These are from Jones New York.

Daisy by Marc Jacobs – I received this perfume as a present a few years ago. I love going back to it when it gets warmer out. If you couldn’t tell by the name it’s a lovely floral scent with notes of strawberry, violet leaves, jasmine, and white woods.

Benefit’s Waat’s Up – I don’t always wear highlighter but when I do it’s usually this one. I love the shimmery golden color. Because it’s a cream highlighter I find it gives more of a dewy look.

Rose Salve – I picked this up at Bath and Body Works a few weeks ago. I had heard about rose salves before, they’re advertised as a balm that you can put on any dry patch of skin to help moisturize it. I like using it on my lips the most.

Urban Decay Naked Basics – I think I’ve mentioned this in favorite posts before. As it says in the name it’s the perfect basic eye shadow colors for everyday use. You can go from a natural look to more of a dramatic look with just 6 shadows.

Maybelline Line Stiletto – I’ve been using liquid liner lately and loving it. I like to put just a thin flick on my upper lash line. The thin tip is perfect for keeping control. It holds up throughout the day and doesn’t smudge or move.

Anastasia Brow Duo – I had never been much for making a fuss over my brows. Lately though, I’ve filled them in and it’s made all the difference. I’m sure if you’ve been in the beauty community for a while you will have heard of this product, it really does live up to all the hype though. I have the color blonde.

Arrow Endure Mascara – I received this in a Birchbox a few months ago and have tried it out. I have fairly oily eyelids so many mascaras transfer onto to my upper eye throughout the day, even if they’re marketed as water proof. This mascara doesn’t transfer at all. If you’re looking for a good water proof mascara that’s actually water proof I highly recommend this one. It stays all day and looks just as good in the evening as when you put it on in the morning.

Essie Gel Nail Polish – If you’ve read my blog for a while you will know that Essie is my favorite nail polish brand. Well, I’ve recently discovered  their gel line and I don’t think I’m ever going back. It’s super smooth and doesn’t chip for days. It lasts longer than normal polish would.

Sign of the Times – Last but not least I have a song favorite. Harry Styles released his first solo single this month and it has been on repeat ever since. I’m a huge One Direction fan and have missed their music since they went on hiatus. This was like a breath of fresh air to be able to hear new music from one of them. If you haven’t heard it you need to! It’s a bit of a rock ballad and his voice is just beautiful.

I hope you all enjoyed my April favorites. Check out my last blog post! Follow me on my social media they’re linked in the sidebar and down below.

Grey and White Shift Dress

4 / 26 / 174 / 26 / 17

Dress: TOBI | Necklace: Charming Charlie (similar)| Shoes: Target | Bandeau: Aerie (similar)

Hi, everyone! I’m in love with this grey and white shift dress. The delicate pattern is so pretty. This is the perfect dress for the spring and summer. It’s very light and airy. I love dresses in the warmer months. They’re so easy to just throw on and go, plus they’re super comfortable. I’ve been obsessed with anything a little different lately and open backs is one of them.

Some dresses with a back like this I will wear a bandeau and some dresses I wear without. It all depends on how the front is cut for me. For this dress I decided to wear a bandeau. This one is from Aerie. It’s my go to bandeau for clothes like this. If you have read my blog lately you will know that long necklaces are a current love of mine. I love the maṇḍala type pattern on this one. It pairs quite nicely with the delicate pattern in the dress. You’ve probably seen my sandals before. They’re one of my favorites. The pewter color goes with so much.

If you missed my last blog post I will have it linked here. Follow me on my social medias, they’re linked in the sidebar and down below. Thank you so much for 10k on Instagram! It was quite exciting to see happen. If you like this grey and white shift dress you can check out TOBI.com for more cute clothes. I’ve also done a few other blog post featuring a few pieces from TOBI that you can check out here and here. Have a lovely week!

Floral Scarf

4 / 25 / 17

Top: Local Boutique (similar) | Skirt: Forever 21 | Scarf: Local Boutique (similar , similar) | Shoes: Payless

Hi, everyone! I hope you all are having a great week so far. I love this floral scarf! It’s super colorful and very springtime. I love all the colors going on in the floral. This is a fairly large scarf but the fabric is very light which is perfect for spring. One of the reasons I love scarves so much is that it instantly adds color and pattern to any outfit. When I wear I scarf I normally like to keep the rest of my outfit pretty simple.

Aside from the floral scarf, the rest of this outfit is made up of what I would call my basics. I love this quarter length sleeve t-shirt! You don’t see many t-shirts like this very often but I would definitely consider it one of my basics. I use it all the time, especially on spring days when it’s a little too chilly for a normal t-shirt but too warm for long sleeves. A black circle skirt is a wardrobe essential for me. They go with everything! If you don’t already own one, you need to pick one up. Finally, I have my nude ballet flats. I believe everyone should own at least one pair of ballet flats, and nude is just a color that always goes.

I hope you enjoyed this post. If you missed my last blog post I will have it linked here. Follow me on my social medias. I’m really close to hitting 10k on Instagram, so if you would like to help me reach that goal you can follow me there. All of my social medias are linked in the side bar and down below.  Thanks for reading!
