A Weekend Getaway

a weekend getawayHi everyone! This past week I went on a weekend getaway. It’s was such an enjoyable weekend and I thought I would share it with all of you. Both my sister and my dad’s birthdays are in October so this was a little trip to celebrate their birthday’s. We went just a few hours away from where we live.

a weekend getawayThe whole reason why we started planning this trip was because of this. A little while ago my sister was looking up things to do for her birthday and came across the Kellogg’s tour of gymnastic champions. I had wanted to go to this anyway so it was perfect. If you don’t know what this is, it’s basically a show with some of the Olympic gymnasts like Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman and Jake Dalton just to name a few. It also shows people from the championships and the like. The show was amazing! It was so cool to be able to see some of the routines performed on the Olympics. I enjoyed it so much. If you have the chance to go, do it. You will not be disappointed. I’m already planning on going to the next one.

a weekend getawayThe next day my dad wanted to go to a zoo that was near by. This was the biggest zoo I’ve ever been to. Let’s just say I definitely got my 10,000 steps in that day. I’m a huge animal lover so anytime I get to see them I’m happy. I really enjoyed the zoo. These are some of my favorite snaps that were taken. How cute is that otter? Also, the trees where all changing colors and were gorgeous. It was a beautiful autumn day.

The sunset on the ride home was too pretty not to take a picture of.

I hope you all enjoyed my little weekend getaway. It was definitely one of the funnest weekends I had in a while. If you missed my last post I will have it linked here.
